I live ...It's funny, I'm the opposite way. I live 12 miles from work, so driving is pretty much mandatory (unless I want to double my commute by taking the bus ... no thanks).<br /><br />The drive to work in the morning is always pretty easy - I check the freeway traffic before leaving home, and if it's too horrendous, there is a really good side-street route I can take. It adds about ten minutes to the commute vs. traffic-free freeway driving, but my blood pressure stays at a sane level ;)<br /><br />The way home, OTOH, is invariably bad. No matter which way I go, people are driving dumb and slow and getting in my way.
